We will of course explore the perception distortions experienced in high stress combative situations. These are critical for understanding the impact hormonal and biological changes that occur in your body. These changes can in some way be replicated through ‘pulse raising’ training, with the difference that combative stress can initiate these changes at rest. Understanding these changes can help you continue in the fight.

You will learn about the impact of Emotional and Physical Limitations on your awareness and critical thinking. This is where your Briefing comes into its own.
Being distracted can be catastrophic for personal protection but being hyper vigilant is exhausting and unsustainable. The Briefing helps you clear the way to better situational awareness, 24/7.

Really focused, maximum attention is difficult. Try doing that when the stakes are at their highest and lives depend on it. Fatigue is inevitable. The Briefing is the first introduction to the effects of fatigue and distraction on Situational Awareness.
We will systematically increase your situational awareness using simple but highly effective techniques within the Meta Awareness domain. These reduce the processing of critical information to a Standard Operating Procedure, that then functions like a sub routine, always scanning and performing in the background.

As the subject matter expert for Violent Knife Crime I examined trends and clusters for examination of violent attacks, providing tactical debriefs to the Special Operations teams. I became the Defensive Tactics Instructor to Special Operations, teaching intelligence officers, surveillance teams, quick reaction teams and the Counter Terrorism Specialist Firearms Teams. My best work was with the undercover teams. If you ever want to meet people who need situational awareness and critical thinking, have a coffee with an undercover officer.
The rest is all knives, and fighting and shooting pew pew pew.
Rest assured, I have your safety at the forefront of my mind."

Rest assured, this is not like any other course claiming to teach tactical awareness. Our program is the ACTUAL BRIEFING given to Special Operations in the UK. Yes, you read that right – the actual briefing.
We've collaborated with seasoned professionals who have served in high-stakes situations, ensuring that you receive the most authentic and reliable training available. You can trust that the knowledge you'll gain is tried, tested, and
trusted by the experts.
This course is priced to get it out to people that need it.
You, in other words.
Pricing is based on what you would have to go through to get the Combative Mind Briefing which is only accessible to the 0.001% of those serving in this field. It is impossible to get. Even to do all the prerequisite courses on firearms and tactical training rules out most people.
You could spend 160 hours (I made that up, but a lot of hours) researching and putting together a package for yourself but that's about $5,000 of time spent.
It's priced so that everyone has access to it at a reasonable price. Unless you are a department or corporate entity. Then it costs more, especially if you want to license the copyright for internal training.
The total value is off the chart.
But we still have to price it and we are not going to give it away. "If you are good at something, never do it for free."
So we picked a UK based price that we thought was within the grasp of most. There was much haggling but $79 was a steal.
"I don't have time to learn this?"
We understand that time is precious, especially when you
have a family relying on you. That's why we've optimized our course to deliver maximum impact in the shortest amount of time. With concise and focused modules, you can complete the entire program in just one day.
Yes, one day.
On occasion in as long as it takes knuckle draggers to have a steaming cup of coffee. Sometimes it takes two, especially when the questions come like Mark asking "what influence does motivation and confidence have?"
Everywhere has budget problems. Special Operations training requirements means that we had to develop a Briefing that was easy to absorb, made sense and most important was efficient. Speed counts and money is king.
We prioritised efficiency for the teams without compromising the quality of the training, and this goes for you too.
You can learn at your own pace while still managing your other responsibilities.
If that's your style of learning we wish you well. We prefer simple efficiency but that's how we roll.
"Online courses lack practicality and real-world applications."
We hear you, and that's precisely why 'The Briefing' was created. The training team had been doing the Gucci stuff, shooting and rappelling but here was a gap. This Briefing was intended to bridge that gap but we found that it was so well received. In fact, had Billy not told us how good it was after even 20 years of service, we probably wouldn't have thought much more of it, or made it available to the public.
That said this is the instruction provided to Special Operations UK.
It's simple. It's easy. It's adopted and applied by operators immediately, and reinforced as further training continues. It is reinforced in all lessons. That's why it is delivered on Day One.
"Will I be a trained operator after this course."
Go away. This course isn't for you.
'Combative Mind - The Briefing' is just that, a briefing. It's the preflight check, it's the oil in the engine. Everything just works better once it's installed.
You'll not be a trained operator but you will have the capacity to think better. Or if you want to be fancy you may have improved metacognition: you'll think better about thinking, and feel better about feeling better too.
I know. It got crazy.
